Patient started at 90,000 platelet count.

 

After 14 treatments within 2 months, increased to 124,000 .

 

After 19 treatments within 9 months, increased to 135,000.

A 45-yo woman came in for her first treatment on January 27, 2018 with platelet count of 90,000. Hemotologist wants it at 140,000 minimum. After 14 treatments, her PC had risen to 124,000 with Balance Method Acupuncture. The patient claims to not have done anything else to improve her condition.

​

In less than two months, the patient’s platelet count increased by 30,000. The hemotologist informed the patient that she does not need to see him anymore and that she only needs to get her blood checked by her primary care doctor once yearly.

​

The patient will continue to do acupuncture until she is at a minimum of 140,000. She expresses that the treatments give her an abundance of energy that she did not have before. She can work 13-14 hours a day and still want to go for a run, which is not like her past prior to acupuncture therapy.

In 2 months, the platelet count increased by 34,000 with 14 treatments.

The patient slowed down her treatments after her 14th treatment, but she still achieved some progress. Her platelets increased another 11,000, totally 135,000. I encouraged the patient to be more aggressive over the next 3-6 months, so that her number can rise to 140,000 faster.
