As I write this, I am happy to say that I am 39 weeks pregnant. I have had a healthy, pleasant pregnancy and I attribute much of my health and well being during this time to Anna and her healing treatments. She is simply the best!

I found Anna when I was looking for neck stiffness and pain relief. After about 3 treatments, I no longer had any pain symptoms in my neck. Shortly thereafter, I started receiving treatments several times a week for natural fertility since we have had been trying to conceive with history of a couple of miscarriages in the last year. Something I noticed is the hope that filled my heart as I began to receive treatments with Anna. Coupled with her sweet and affirming personality, her treatments were affective in letting go of stress and anxiety about fertility and previous miscarriages. I appreciate that she treats the person as a whole, not just the physical. I looked forward to the treatments because it helped my mind, body and spirit totally relax, heal and let my body do its thing.

She had told me to expect to take a few months to conceive, but to our delightful surprise, I conceived right away within the same menstrual cycle. We were absolutely thrilled. My husband also received treatments simultaneously as well to achieve optimal health and fertility. I believe it was very effective for both of us to get treated for fertility.

After conception, I continued to see her a couple times a week in my first trimester and now in my third trimester to alleviate and keep nausea and other negative pregnancy symptoms to a minimum. Some of the specific things that Anna has helped me with besides a sense of well-being during this pregnancy is relief from nausea, shoulder joint pain from side sleeping, constipation, and plantar fasciitis.

My husband has continued to see her to reduce aches and pains in his body as well as alleviate symptoms of stress. He has been able to sleep better and deeper at night. One major symptom of stress he was suffering from was tinnitus - ringing in the ears. Within 3 treatments, the tinnitus went away. He eagerly awaits every treatment knowing that he will find pure relaxation and euphoria awaiting him.

If you want to make the most of every treatment, I recommend coming in with an open mind, positive attitude and not limiting what Anna and your body can do to recover from various ailments. Also, what has really helped us fall asleep deeply on the table/chair is bringing in earplugs rather than listening to your headphones. I fall asleep every time without fail.

We are a firm believer in Anna's work and the remarkable difference she has made in our lives. She is an incredible resource for natural health. There's not enough words I can say about the PHENOMENAL healing that I have received from Anna at Elements in Harmony these last 8 years. I was first referred to her 8 years ago by my cousin Debbie. I was having issues with having no periods and I just recently got married and wanted to try to have a baby. At the time I was only having 2 periods a year which meant that it would be hard for me to get pregnant seeing as how I wasn't ovulating much with only having 2 periods a year.

My first treatment with Anna she recommended that after the treatment I should start to write down the dates that I have my period every month. At first I was a little doubtful because I didn't think that acupuncture would work but I kid you not the next day, I meant NEXT DAY after my treatment I had my period! I was completely blown away and crying tears of joy. I quickly called Anna and thanked her numerous times for the joy she brought to my life.

From then on every month I had a normal period cycle, which I never had until seeing Anna.

Within 3 months I was pregnant and couldn't believe it!

Fast forward to 2 weeks before my delivery date the dr said my daughter was breeched and that I would probably have to have a c-section. I really didn't want that because I wanted to deliver naturally so I went to Anna and she put me in a reclining chair and put needles in every single one of my toes and within 15 minutes I literally felt my daughter turn.

I went back to the doctor and he was in shock that she was now head down in ready position. I delivered a healthy little girl weighing 7 lbs., 7oz. I'm forever grateful to Anna and because of her and her AMAZING work I truly don't believe I would have ever gotten pregnant. This post is long overdue. I found Anna in a desperate search for help to be able to have a baby. I was struggling with fertility for years. Being diagnosed with “unexplained infertility” was difficult not knowing any specific reason why we were not able to conceive naturally. We went through three rounds of IUI about 6-7 years ago that were unsuccessful. In January 2019 we decided to start the IVF process. Sadly, we suffered two miscarriages the first two transfers. After the second loss, we took a break and in preparation for the third round is when I found Anna. I wanted to do everything I could for a successful third round.

My initial consultation with Anna was very informative and she explained her treatment regimen. She was very selective with her patients and made it clear what her expectations were for a successful journey. I will admit I was skeptical, but went in with an open mind and focused on the end goal - a healthy, happy baby.

​

After a few sessions, I got more into it and looked forward to going. Not only did Anna do acupuncture, she also helped prepare my mind and trained me how to focus my thoughts on positive things and mostly my baby. After everything, I believe it was this part that helped me the most.

I had my transfer the beginning of February 2021 and got pregnant. The first several weeks were scary because I had some bleeding starting week 6. It was scary because of our previous loss and history, but positive mentality I learned through Anna helped me stay calm and trust that my baby was ok - and she was.

Due to personal reasons I was not able to continue acupuncture sessions after about 20 weeks into my pregnancy, however Anna would still check in with me from time to time. I ended up having my baby early - my water broke at 31 weeks. Although it was the most difficult journey, my baby came out of the NICU 43 days later, strong and thriving. She is now going on 7 months and she is doing amazing.

I was referred to Dr. Dolopo after finding out my baby was breech at 33 weeks. I tried all the exercises of turning baby around at home for 2 weeks, but the baby was still breech at my 35 week checkup.

​

That's when I decided to give acupuncture a try before preparing myself for a c section. I went twice, Thursday and Saturday of the same week. When I went to my 36 week checkup, the baby had turned! Honestly, I didn't feel any major movements inside my belly, so I wasn't expecting any good news. The baby stayed head down since then, so I was able to have a vaginal delivery.

The nurse in the triage room asked me if I did anything to make the baby flip. When I told her [that I did] acupuncture, she said that's the only thing she heard that actually worked for many people.

​

If baby in breech position really bothers you, I would recommend to give acupuncture a try. It's not guaranteed to work, but this can be your last resort."

Came to see Dr. Dolopo starting almost a half a decade ago, I had torn my MCL and she healed it miraculously through acupuncture.

She has such a warm and inviting demeanor, and would sincerely recommend to anyone in need of not just fertility but sports injury as well.

About a month ago I got injured in a soccer game. I went to the tournament trainer and on both looks both trainers told me I had a partially torn ACL. I went to Dr Dolopo immediately, and after multiple acupuncture sessions, the pain drastically was reduced and I was completely healed in 2 weeks.

I started seeing Anna in the summer of 2019 for secondary Infertility. I was referred to her by a previous acupuncturist who specialized in Fertility. Although I wasn't new to Acupuncture or traditional Chinese medicine, I had never received treatment under the balance method of Acupuncture before. From the moment I met Anna I knew that I was in the right place. The consultation alone gave me hope and she spent so much time creating the right plan for me and my goal. Throughout the following year, I followed Anna's plan and with the help of IVF, I successfully gave birth to a healthy, vibrant baby girl. I echo most of the reviewers and Anna's patients here in saying that Anna is a wonderful, caring, professional, and highly competent acupuncturist in the OC area. Last September I was experiencing excruciating shoulder pain that might have resulted from chronic bad posture and overextension from weight training. I was in sharp pains and could not move out of bed. I arrived at Anna's office in tears after she squeezed me into her busy schedule due to the severity and urgency of my situation. She was able to quickly asses my conditions and began her treatment. It is important to understand that most pains, especially chronic ones, require several intensive sessions of treatment before any observable changes can happen. My pain started to become more tolerable after the second treatment. I continued treatment with Anna at a twice a week to once a week frequency, each time about 1 hour to 1.5 hours (as she graciously encouraged me to stay as long as her schedule allowed for the needles to penetrate more deeply into the points), for 8 treatments in total. During this time, because I was dealing with a severe back pain, my immune system was down and I caught a bad cold. Anna was able to integrate both treatments of shoulder pain and my horrible coughs and shortened the length of time it required for me to recover from the cold.

There are many different approaches to acupuncture, and Anna practices Dr. Tan's method in which the practitioner does not insert needles directly into the spots of pain. Instead, the practitioner, with their understanding and appreciation of the holistic nature of the human body, utilizes needles in different parts of the body in a corresponding and balanced way. I am not a professional in acupuncture, but I am a mental health practitioner and I appreciate Anna's approach, professionalism, and genuine care for her expertise and her patients. I also appreciate that she takes efforts to do a thorough initial consultation/assessment before starting her treatment with a new patient, as this is extremely crucial for any kind of healthcare profession to remain ethical and effective. Anna also maintains an open communication with her patients, and does not hesitate to modify her treatments based on the patient's needs. I highly recommend Anna and encourage potential customers to give her a try, with understanding that the more severe or chronic pains will definitely take a longer time before healing becomes noticeable. No magic pills are dispensed here, and that is not what Anna is offering. What she offers is patient, consistent, and genuine care that can go a long way when needed.

Notes from Dr. Anna Dolopo

As of July 2021, I have been a mother for over 17 years. I've been blessed to have given birth to 3 beautiful children at ages 30, 36 and 43. I started practice in 1999, which makes this 22 years of practice. 

​

I've made many fertility videos, one of them regarding miscarriages. I held off on the miscarriage video for so long. I posted one in the past year after 2 men told me on the same day that I need to make a video regarding miscarriages.

​

Here are some concepts to consider regarding men and fertility.

​

1. Men deal with stress, anxiety, and sadness differently than women do.

​

2. Men do suffer emotionally and oftentimes their pain goes unheard, and we dismiss their feelings or do not even acknowledge that they have feelings.

​

3. Men are often surprised when I ask wives to ask men how they feel. Some of my female fertility clients realize that they have rarely taken the time to consider how their husbands/male partners feel. 

​

4. Satisfying men - usually is interpreted as a sexual message. How about emotionally? At first, men would respond with sexual thoughts, but then they do realize that they would prefer to not hear their wives/partners nagging at them, and would prefer that they be spoken to in a more respectful manner. In other words, oftentimes, men hear their wives NAGGING - they hear their mother, not their lover. 

​

5. Women - take the time to listen to your man.

​

6. Have sex with your man 2-3 times a week, not just during the week of ovulation. Many men have shared with me that they FEEL LIKE A TOOL just to make a baby. That makes them sad. Many women do not understand that. Men want to feel the pleasure of sex throughout the month, not just during ovulation and not only to have a baby. Men want to feel intimate with their wives/partners, and they want to feel this joy and intimacy not just for procreation. A man wants to feel this intimacy with the woman he loves throughout the month, not just during baby making time.

​

7. Women: make time and allow the space for men to share verbally uninhibitedly and without judgment. Just allow men to talk and do not interrupt them when they are sharing their vulnerability. Give them the respect to share their hearts and not tell them that how they feel is wrong.

​

8. Give men the opportunity to share their opinions without us (women) feeling hurt. So often, men stay quiet because they do not want to sound mean or hurt our feelings. 

​

9. Make men feel like they are the king of the castle. 

​

10. Leave them alone when they ask to be left alone. Men oftentimes need ALONE TIME.

Hi Anna, what resonates for me from your video is the way you ask your questions.

I always asks my husband if he is stressed out and his response is always, "No."

I need to ask the way you said to quantify his stress level.

When our first IVF failed, I asked him how he felt when I was struggling so hard emotionally.

He cried and all, but he was very quick to get over it.

Since then, I always thought he was ok, but when we started the cycle again, he later then told me how he had to cry for 10-15 minutes by himself when he saw the bruises on my abdomen from the needles; it broke my heart so much.

He wants to stay strong for me because I cry easily, but just remembering that conversation always tears me up.

In the recent months, I have been trying to pay attention to his feelings more because I know he does not express it ever, but I know well enough to know that everything we go through pains him too.

The upside is definitely bringing us closer together.

I just know that he is always going to be there for me no matter what will happen in our future. 

​

Hubby says I nag a lot. I am trying not to do that as often.

​

I learned that men hurt emotionally and can express their emotions differently from the way women do. 

I realized I need to ask my husband from time to time how he's doing emotionally with direct questions instead of asking, "How are you and how was work?" kind of questions. 

I think my husband and I have a great relationship.

We are on the same page about the role of man and woman as a couple since we grew up with similar family backgrounds but also grew up to be working professionals. We treat each other respect, love,  kindness, and get each other plenty of space. 

He is very grounded and balanced as person.

He is rarely sick, sad, mad, stressed, but just steady with no strong emotions although I've asked questions about his stress levels at home and at work, his feelings regarding our fertility journey, etc.  

Despite all this, I think I need to work on making him feel like the King and satisfy his sexual and emotional needs.

I learned that I am not listening enough ….

And that I am not asking him how he feels and really hearing him….

Also that I need to give him more respect ….

I think it would benefit us both to watch it together and talk about how we can communicate more thoroughly and with respect and love instead of anger.

My husband and I were trying to have a baby with no success.

We went and had every fertility test ran that is available today and all results came back great. Medically speaking, fertility doctors (we saw more than one) could not find an explanation for why we were not getting pregnant. They told us there is a small percentage of couples that can’t conceive naturally and they don’t know why. All of them were happy, of course, to offer us in vitro treatments.

Before going down that road I started seeing Anna for fertility. In less than a year of working with Anna we got pregnant!

We are now 30 weeks pregnant with our first child conceived naturally with no fertility treatments thanks to Anna’s help. Right away I could tell my cycle was improving from her acupuncture treatments. Her treatments are very powerful and effective. I have been going to Anna for the past two years and I only wish that I found her sooner!!! Although she is not a doctor, I have chosen to go to Anna because her methods work better compared to my experiences with doctors. For those who are interested in the results, let me give you a list of issues I've had that she has helped me with:

I was skeptical and even remembered asking her how the needles "work." We talked for a long time and she convinced me to give it a go. What surprised me was when she asked me what other issues I might have. I thought it was going to be a fix one thing and come back for another as they do at the doctors office. She explained that with her needles she can work on a multitude of problems. Again I was skeptical that needles could cure me of my constant UTI recurrences that plagued me for 7 years. But since she asked I told her that I had tests done and went to several doctors who said that the only way for me to stop having them was to take medication daily. I refused and therefore suffered for years trying cure myself. I also never had a normal period and she said she could help me regulate it. Again, with needles?? I figured I would go on a couple of times and be done.

But when I had my first treatment, I felt the most relaxed that I had been in a long time. I decided to try it a couple of more times to give it a chance and even started keeping a headache and migraine log. Over the next couple of months they started diminishing until I no longer had them. I was amazed and ecstatic. Then the UTI's which I had for over 7 years stopped occurring. That was probably the thing that made me a believer. I still can't explain it but I know that she made my body healthy without the use of medication. She even warned me that if I wasn't planning on getting pregnant I should be extra careful as most of her patients did get pregnant. My husband and I were still not sure and the first time that we actually tried, my Childless Syndrome was cured.

There is just so many things that Anna and acupuncture has changed in my life that I couldn't possibly squeeze all of it into a review. I will say that her acupuncture is only the second reason why I go back to her. She is a wonderfully caring, nurturing, and spiritual individual that you wouldn't want to go to anyone else!
